Downtown Ballard Engagement Session

A + A are some true love birds.

They inquired about engagement photos in Ballard - they’re favorite area of Seattle - and without missing a beat, really were so natural in front of the camera.

I think I’ve written in a blog post before that about 80% of my couples write somewhere in their inquiry or tell me over a call, “we’re really awkward and not the best in front of the camera.” I get it. I’m awkward too. And I can’t say that people are lying, but I also think sometimes all we need is the right photographer.

I think that’s what is so great about working with a photographer rather than hiring one. You allow them into your space and trust them, you let them see your truest self, and your relationship, and it makes room for some beautiful photos that reflect the era you’re in.

We want photos that are true to you. Photos of things you love, doing what you love, with people you love. We want natural and easy. Candid and meaningful. I always strive for that.
